Open & Airy California Kitchen

Photography and styling by Jordan Shields Design

We are excited to showcase Jordan Shields Design.

This beautifully designed open and airy kitchen from Jordan’s Fremont Place project has a little bit of everything we love – from the white and navy cabinetry combo beaming with lots of natural light, to the oversized island with plenty of space to gather.

The light wood floors serve as the perfectly neutral backdrop to ground this entire space. White kitchens are timeless, but we love a dark stained or painted island to add some much-needed visual interest and contrast.

Adding Rejuvenation hardware to any project is always a homerun and this design is no exception. The Canfield Drawer Pulls are unique in shape, but classic in their aged brass hue. They add a little glamour to the space and catch your eye with just enough shine. The oversized Eugene Pendants in the hand-rubbed antique brass finish complement the cabinetry hardware perfectly and beautifully accent the dark navy island.

The walnut-colored Sede counter stools from Article offer plenty of comfortable seating and invite guests to gather around the island.

A Laundry Room to Love

If you live in a home where square footage is limited and the laundry area occupies the same space as the mudroom area, then you can likely relate to this design dilemma — how to make the laundry space look inviting while still being functional.

Create an Organic Space with Raw Neutrals

We love interiors that draw their inspiration from nature. Anytime you can bring the outdoors in, it’s a win! Raw neutrals, like natural woods, organic textures, and refined color palettes bring calm and tranquility to a space.
