Overview

This Privacy Policy explains how Aston & West (“we,” “us”) collects, uses, and protects information when you visit astonandwest.com (the “Site”). We keep things simple: the Site has no user accounts, and we collect only what is needed to operate the Site and send our newsletter to people who ask for it.

Information We Collect

• Email address — only if you subscribe to our newsletter. Subscribing is entirely optional.
• Technical data — like most websites, our hosting infrastructure automatically logs basic technical information such as IP address, browser type, pages visited, and timestamps. We use this data in aggregate to keep the Site secure and running well.
• Usage data — if you choose to allow analytics, page views, product-link clicks, device and browser information, and approximate location collected through Google Analytics and Google Ads conversion measurement. We use this information to understand which content is useful and whether our advertising brings visitors to the Site.

We do not collect names, payment information, or physical addresses. Purchases happen on third-party retailer websites, and we never see your payment or shipping details.

Browser Storage

To personalize product recommendations and power Your Saved Edit, the Site keeps lists of recently viewed and intentionally saved products in your browser’s local storage, including optional names, images, title, and notes for saved pieces. You can keep more than one named edit in this browser. This information stays on your device—it is never sent to our servers or shared with anyone. You can remove saved products individually, clear this edit on the Saved Edit page, or clear the information by clearing your browser’s site data for astonandwest.com.

Analytics Choices

We ask before enabling analytics. You can choose analytics or essential site functions only; your choice is saved in your browser. You can revisit this choice at any time through the “Privacy choices” control in the footer.

How We Use Your Information

• To send our newsletter to subscribers;
• To operate, maintain, and secure the Site;
• To understand, in aggregate, how the Site is used;
• To measure the effectiveness of our advertising.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to anyone.

Affiliate Links and Retailer Cookies

The Site contains affiliate links to third-party retailers, including Amazon. When you click an affiliate link, the retailer may set cookies in your browser to attribute your visit and any purchase to us. These cookies are set and controlled by the retailer, not by us, and are governed by the retailer’s own privacy policy. As an Amazon Associate, we earn from qualifying purchases.

Third-Party Services

The Site relies on a small number of service providers:

• Vercel — hosts the Site and processes standard server logs;
• Sanity — delivers our content and product images;
• Adobe Fonts — serves some of the Site’s typefaces, which involves your browser requesting font files from Adobe’s servers;
• Google Analytics and Google Ads — measure page views, product-link clicks, and advertising performance. We configure Google’s consent mode with analytics and advertising storage denied by default, and enable analytics only when you choose it;
• Email service providers — store subscriber email addresses and deliver our newsletter.

Each provider processes data on our behalf under its own privacy and security commitments.

Data Retention

We keep your email address for as long as you remain subscribed to the newsletter. When you unsubscribe, your address is removed from our active mailing list. Server logs are retained only for the short period our hosting provider keeps them. Google retains measurement data according to the retention settings in our Google account and its applicable policies.

Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal information we hold about you. Since the only personal information we hold is newsletter email addresses, the simplest path is the unsubscribe link in any of our emails—but you can also email us at hello@astonwest.co and we will honor any access or deletion request.

Children’s Privacy

The Site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Material changes will be noted on the Site.
